This allows the meter to read the glucose level in the blood sample.
These strips are extremely important for diabetics because they may need to use several throughout the day. A person with Type 1 diabetes may need to use up to 10 strips a day.
As you can imagine, the cost of so many strips adds up quickly. A box of 100 can cost $100 or more.

2. Lancets

The CGM works 24/7. However, you may need to replace the sensor every few days or weeks, depending on the CGM model you’re using. This will require you to keep a stock of sensors on hand.
If you ever switch to a different CGM model or quit using it altogether, you may have extra sensors that you don’t need anymore. In addition, you will also have a CGM device that is obsolete.
